Statutory Sick Pay Claims. Government Guidance
00:00 – Normally if it were a smaller medium size business, you can’t claim statuary, sick pay. You’ve got to pay it out. Do your team members, uh, installed and yourselves, but you can’t claim it back from H and L sate. That is all been changed for the time being. If you or your team, whether you’re a director or note.
If you or your team have had yourself isolates or you’ve got the symptoms, and if you put yourself away for seven to 14 days, uh, all your team members are real for whatever reason, you’re allowed per employee two weeks to claim back statuary, sick pay from HMRC. That works out. It’s not a lot of money, but it’s about 90 pounds a week, a hundred pounds a week, so you’re going to get under 200 pounds, but it’s 200 pounds.
Now for me. Money is money. I’m very, very frugal, as you may have heard me say before, and I think it is so important that we value every pound, every penny. I do.
01:00 – I’m very, very careful with money. I’m not big on, cause I’m not big on houses. Uh, I’m not big on fashion and stuff. That’s just me. However. I love giving and delivering and receiving great value for money.
All my clients will tell you that I am not the cheapest in the market and I don’t ever intend to be. I give too much of myself to be the cheapest, but I do believe I’m probably one of the best at giving honest. So for structure, sick pay 200 pounds to me will buy me a course. That will help me improve my thinking. It’ll help me improve my marketing. It will help me improve, uh, my, my leadership skills and they helped me improve my messaging. It’ll help me improve my hardware and software, whatever it is. 200 pounds is a lot of money.
