00:00 – Today we’re going to be talking about furlough and the claims. Hi, my name’s Gordon D’Silva, as you already know. And today we’re going to be looking at following and the revenue side is opened up. We did a trial on our accounts, on a couple of our accounts yesterday and crashed a few times, but it seems to be okay.
It seems to be okay and reasonably straight forward. So you can have a go at this. So today I want to take you through the, the claim situation that we have and we’ve devised and, help give you some helping hands to do it yourself. Also, we are going to talk to me. If you remember, the announcement was, the furlough period is going to extend by nother months or to the end of June.
So that’s good news, subject to what happens with the economy. Hopefully we’ll have some businesses to work with. the whole thing was brought home to me this week with one of my friends. My daughter’s friends.
01:00 – Â All the taken into intensive care, and he’s not expected to make it in the family to go and say the good bones, which is yes, it’s a hugely sad and just demonstrates that behind every number on me on the stats is, you know, some pain for a lot of people.
And that is why I take a counselor seriously, because every set of accounts behind every sort of accountability, every number in the accounts. There is a family that’s you behind that in your family and your, in your communities and stuff that, have an impact. So I take this stuff so seriously. So let’s, let’s look at the email that’s, imputed with this video.
And so. We, we have two choices. When you’re claiming, first choice is to do it yourself. And if you’ve got time on your hands, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t do it yourself. Okay? you can make the claim yourself. We’ll provide the information. You may need some information. Now, the information has already been sent to you with your annual payroll, with your end of year payroll just recently.
So you can probably find the PYV office and PYD reference numbers on there. When you seed your last set of accounts and your corporation tax return, you’ll have the UTR number for the company’s corporation tax. So you’ll have all the information.
02:00 – You also have your bank information. You’ll have your sort code, account number and bank address and post code.
These are very important things. So you’ll have all of that information. You can make the claim, and I’m going to put some links on this email for you to make that claim. so, if you can’t find you information and you want some help finding it, just remember that we got to put it in a queue now. Or we’ve got a lot of people look at asking for help.
Some of you asking for the information, some of you will be asking for us to do it for you. you know, we’ve been dealing with every inquiry in the audit it’s received. So we’re not getting property to people that are paying us when giving priority to the order in which it’s received. Okay. So, so just keep that in mind.
It may take two to four working days together. Reply to you, subject to how much we. We all inundated. You know, just so bear that in mind. Okay. We’ll do it as quickly as we can. We’ve got over time, teams working to help you get through this, in the quickest possible time.
03:00 – We’ve got a resources section down below and in the resources section is a Dropbox link. And in there there’s a letter that you can send to yourself and approve yourself. For fooling yourself if you’re a director. So you should be having something like that. It’s not legally approved by me. So you need to check in with your HR legal team, and, then, you know, either send it to us, just so we know you’ve done it.
It has the dates and the things that are, you know that you need. Well, because every employee has to be offered a furlough and has to accept follow. Or then you got to look at alternative measures and you’ve got to decide whether it’s 80% or 100% or whatever, right? So just keep that in mind. That’s in the resources section on the link below.
Now we are testing shows. The revenue side crushes are not, you know, we put one with a three or four employees in and then it crashed just before we, we had to submit it. It just said era didn’t tell us what the error was and they made to start again, but all the same information in any went through. So just bear that in mind.
04:00 –  Just have a bit of patience. A cup of coffee is probably the order of the day and just assume it’s going to take three times as long as you expect it to, and it might not. Okay. Because it might just go straight through. We’ve had cases where it’s gone straight through no problem, and other cases where it’s crashed and it’s been a bit of a pain.
The second option is we can make a claim for you for 60 pounds plus VAT for the first three employees, for up to three employees. If you’ve got more than three employees and up to 10 most of our clients are covered in that. It’s a hundred pounds a flat fee plus VAT for filing that. Okay. So if you want our help, we’ll happily give it to you and do it for you again in the order it’s received.
And, you, you know, you just have to bear that in mind. We’re going to do it as quickly as possible. We’ve got a team working late as well and early to make sure that we get as many claims in as quickly as possible because we know cashflow is so important, isn’t it? So, regardless of it would be you’ve got some resources there.
We’ve got a, in the Dropbox link, a furlough letter. You can send you employees or yourself. We’ve got  calculation and they, 80% photo calculator now and then revenues go on as well.
05:00 – And that’s quite straightforward to use as well. So we’ve included the link for that further down. And of course we’ve got some notes for claiming on the claiming of the photo.
If you, and if you’re not, if you’re not okay with it so you can look at those notes that, you know, the revenue site now is off, is up and running, and you should be able to get there. So what we’ve done is brought the resources, which is a Dropbox link for those three files in it. We’ve sent you an HMRC side calculator so you can calculate the amount of furlough and that’s what needs to be straight forward.
We have a click, put the link into where you can make a claim. Now, if you can’t make a claim. Because you haven’t got a login and you don’t want us to do it, which is absolutely, to be fair, we’ve set up a new, there’s a new login setup, and what they’d log in does is that you go in and put your reference numbers in and it’ll send to an email of your choosing.
A reference number, which you then use to make the claim that that’s all attached to your PayU reference numbers. So remember that not is an alternative, so you don’t have to get us just because we registered. You can do it yourself.
06:00 – You just need to register with the third link, which is a, an HMLC new login setup.
So do that. You will be emailed. If you use your email address, you’ll be emailed that number and that number is what you use to make a claim. Now, if we have to do it and you want us to do it for you, then we may still have to go to that procedure because the revenue site has been compromised with all these changes going on.
And so sometimes the clients that we work with on federal have dropped off the revenue radar, and so we then need to use that as well. But we will use our email to get the, the reference number so that we can go straight in and complete the application process. But what we will need from you, of course, is which employees are being followed and for what dates, you know, from when to when we know what the salary number is cause we do the salaries for you.
And we plan those. If we do, if we don’t do your salaries, we may need the payroll files. But if we do, we all pretty straightforward. So to that is the process.
07:00 – And of course, if at any point during this whole sad, sad time and challenging time, you need to have a chat about anything to do with your business.
We’ve put aside 10 medicals cause we want to get very quickly, right? We got a lot of clients who won’t help and we just need to get to everyone in a reasonably short place as a space of time. So we’ve put 10 minutes, meetings aside. And what I’d like you to do is just have yourself really geared up to getting the answer.
You know, I’ll ask him the question when you book the meeting so we have a chance to think about it. And then so we can deliver the answer to you within 10 minutes and get onto the next client who needs help. Because lots of people need help all at one time right now. And so if you bear with us, what with us.
