Do it with 100% Passion – Award Winning Accountant
Hi. My name is Gordon D’Silva. I’m here in Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand on holiday. I thought about bringing you some of these messages from these Buddhist temples I’m visiting around the area and they’re so pertinent for business today.
This one says, “Whatever you do, do it with 100 percent passion.” I think that is true of business as it is in life, isn’t it? And one of the things that I meet when I visit businesses around the UK on my travels on the – on my speaking circuit or when I’m talking to audiences or in fact in our Profit Multiplier Program or on our webinars is that sometimes business people are beaten down. They’ve tried everything they know. They’ve tried everything they can and their business is not growing. Their profits are not growing. Their cash flow is tight. They can’t afford the quality of life they believe they wanted to when they started the business. Things are just not going the way they want to.
As a result, they don’t give it everything anymore. They just follow habitual methodologies. They do their work. They get it done and you notice it in businesses all around typically with staff more than owners. But sometimes it comes through with owners as well when they’re tired, when they’ve given everything and they’re not getting the returns for it. You can understand that.
My message here I think is simple. It’s that you’re only that far away from achieving the success that is available to you just by tweaking one or two things and by just focusing on the right areas in the right way, you could achieve significantly more profits. In every industry, there are businesses that do better than virtually others.
So no one can tell me that in their industry it’s not possible because in every industry there are shining lights and if they can do it, so can you. So that’s my message now. How to do it is a different matter. If I suggest that it was easy, I would be lying. It isn’t simple. There are a few things you must do and you must focus on and push through and get them right. If you don’t do those few things, then obviously it’s going to be much more difficult for you.
