Business Owner Update 22nd May

Urgent New Deadlines Approaching - Business Owners.

Deadlines Approaching Now

10th, June or 13th, July - Act Now...

Our key dates to put in your diary.

If you are either a director of your own company or you are self-employed and run your own self employed business.

Let me go with the 10th of June first.
This is on the job retention scheme CJRS.

The 10th of June is really important because if you're not registered under the furlough scheme by the 10th of June, then you're not going to qualify for the next round, which starts at the beginning of July!

The reason for that is because that the furlough rules of the moment that you've got to apply for three weeks.

Now, if you've got apply for three weeks and you've got to be in the first furlough scheme before you go into the second furlough scheme, then that means by the 10th of June, you've got to be registered for furlough.

You're going to be furloughed for the full three weeks from the 10th of June, 10th of June, sorry to through to the end of June.

Now there's more details on my site
https://gordonsknight.co.uk/business-owner-update-1st-june/

with more details of all the nuances.
And there's quite a few rule changes on the furlough scheme, which I think you should be aware of if you're either employing people or you are a director of your own business.

So please, I'll put a link to my, to my, update page on my site where you can get videos on the furlough scheme changes, as well as a self employed income protection scheme, which I'm going to talk about in a second.

So just bear in mind that you've also got to get a lettuce, give a letter to your employees or the directors, even whichever, both.
Right. And you've got to get that letter back saying they acknowledged being offered the furlough and they accept it...
... because if they don't accept it, then you can't give them. You can't do furlough.

You can't just say you have to do it.
You have to offer it.
Or alternatively, of course, if you can't afford it and you got to make them redundant.
Right?

The other thing to be aware of, if you're running your own business with employees as redundancies, are now looking more and more likely as the revenue will start scaling down how much they put in and insisting the employer puts in the balance of the 80%.

So bear that in mind. I've got, like I said, more on my, the video specifically on the, Coronavirus job retention scheme CJRS.

On my site, there was a video put a link on it's got the videos on an update, general updates, going a video on the retention scheme, and has got a very specific video on the self employed as well, as well as a special invite.

I'll talk about in a minute. The next thing we want to be looking at is the part time furlough that's coming in shortly later on this year - July.

3.30sec in >> The next thing on the self employed income protection scheme,

5min in >> But, for me, my main focus now is to get my clients to, to stability. So 13th of July keep that date.
