00:00 – Hi and remember the Corona virus job retention scheme is open for a limited time, probably three months to start off with, and you can also use it if you have already made people redundant after the 20th of March before this scheme was announced. That means that if you make people redundant. And you now feel that you could retain them on the hope that you could get back on the, you know, into business.
Then you can reinstate them and put them on the Corona virus skiing. Hopefully that helps. So there’s more on our blog. Lots more training and a business training module coming out. Take care of this all free. Bye. Bye.
CV19 Furloughed – Which Employees
00:00 – The Corona virus job retention scheme is open to permanent employees, full time employees, part time employees. People are agency workers who are on salary, and of course people on zero hours contracts. There is more on our site on how to calculate it. Remember, there’s averages. Did you need to look at?
There’s certain rules and it’s available to anyone who set up a pay scheme before the 20th of February. So this is Gordon wishing you well. There’s more on our website and there’s a business training coming up. Just look at our useful links in our bio for more information. Take care. Good luck. Stay healthy.

This means that you can now start training your team in UpToDate techniques, principles, and methodologies so that when business starts up again, they’re fully trained, raring to go and can provide even better service to your customers.

CV19 Furloughed – Calculation
00:00 – If your employees are full time or part time and you want to claim the 80% the figure you should use to work out the 80% is their last salary paid at 28th of February, 2020 this is to make sure you don’t try to inflate any figures. After the event and to avoid anti avoidance. There’s plenty of more, plenty of information on our blogs, on our website.
You can get the information on our bio. Alternatively, you’ll give us a call, talk to us and join our free business training starting on Monday, the 30th of March. Take care. All the best. Be healthy, be safe, be strong, take a good bite.
CV19 Furloughed – Variable Pay Calculation
00:00 – How do you work out the 80% on the furlough pay on the support scheme. If your employee gets paid a variable amount based on the number of hours they work, for example, well, you can either take the say the same amount for the same month, the previous year, or you can take an average of the 1920 tax year and you could use one of those.
You can take the higher of the two and you can claim 80% of that from the government. At no cost to yourself. And you can top it up if you wish. This is golden to silver, wishing you well. There’s much more information on our blogs. The link to all of our websites and other links are on our bio and I look forward to speaking to you soon.
They’ll be doing a free business training coming up on Monday, the 30th starting. You can join anytime. It’s completely free. This is Gordon. Stay strong. Stay healthy. Stay safe. Bye. Bye.
CV19 Furloughed – ERS NIC
00:00 – So if you’re claiming the 80% government grant on the furloughed workers, what about employers national insurance? I hear you ask. Well, the good news is the government is going to support you for that as well. You can claim up to 80% of 2,500 remember? Plus you can claim the employers national insurance and the government will even support you by paying the employers contributions to pension schemes.
All good news. This is a very, very generous offer. It’s going to cost the country a fortune, so let’s make business pay at the end of it. Let’s keep our businesses strong, keep our teams trained and motivated and keep our customers close. This is Gordon wishing you well. Don’t forget there’s a business training starting on the 30th and if you’d like to join me on that, just look in the bio for links to our website and get information on that.
I look forward to speaking to you soon. Take care. Be strong, be safe. Be cool. Bye bye.
CV19 Furloughed – When It Ends
00:00 – Well, it’s going to happen to the furloughed workers when the government scheme ends in three months or later, depending on how it’s extended. Well, the truth is there’s two things that can happen. The first one is that you, you take them back on on the same employment, a scheme that you want, they were on before they were furloughed and the second, if you look at business circumstances, you may need to make them redundant.
Those are one of the, those are the two things that can happen. Now, there is an opportunity here to get them trained up, get your business where he gets your marketing ready, get your business positioning right so that you can give better service and more money when the things come up. So to help your employees, to help the economy, to help the country as a whole.
So join me for a free training on that, on starting April. Starting March 30th join me either then or afterwards and catch up and I’ll speak to you soon. Be healthy, be safe, be strong. And this is Gordon. Sunny out links are in the bio. Bye bye.
CV19 Furloughed – National Minimum Wage
00:00 – So if you followed her work and that 80% comes below the national minimum wage or the national living wage, what happens then? Well, unfortunately, 80% of their normal pay is the maximum they’re allowed or up to a maximum of 2,500 pounds per month. Now, if that means that they get paid, that 80% is less than the national minimum wage or the national living wage, so be it.
That’s what they’re allowed. However, if you are doing training, and I really recommend you should be doing some training with them, either that’s going to upskill them to help you better win the business when the business starts up again shortly. Oh, it’s going to help them get another job later on. If they, if it doesn’t work out, then they have to be paid the national minimum wage or the national living wage, depending on who they are and what they are and what their position is.
So this is Gordon wishing you well. We’re doing a free training for all business owners starting on the 30th of March. I’d love you to join me. Uh, the link is in the bio until we speak.
01:00 – This is Gordon D’Silva, be strong. Be safe, be healthy, take care. Goodbye.
CV19 Furloughed – SSP/SMP
00:00 – Did you know that furloughed workers have the same rights to statuary, sick pay, and statutory maternity pay as all other employees. Keep that in mind when you are following your workers and when the report’s sequences or maternity. This has gotten to silver, wishing you well. Don’t forget, if you want much more information on this and all other business subjects, we’re doing a free training starting on the 30th and there.
We’d love you to join us. It’s completely free for business owners. See you then. In the meantime, keep safe. Keep strong. Be well, bye bye.
CV19 Furloughed – Payment To You
00:00 – How do you work out the 80% on the furlough pay on the support scheme. If your employee gets paid a variable amount based on the number of hours they work, for example, well, you can either take the say the same amount for the same month, the previous year, or you can take an average of the 1920 tax year and you could use one of those.
Do, you can take the higher of the two and you can claim 80% of that from the government.
Stay safe. Bye. Bye.
CV19 Furloughed – Tax Charged
00:00 – Some clients have asked me, what happens to the money doesn’t go directly to the employee without tax or does it get taxed on the answer? It just has to be taxed in exactly the normal way it has to go through your payroll. 80% of their normal pay to a maximum of 2,500 will be covered by the government.
If you top it up, you can top it up, but it has to be taxed and this national insurance as well that the employee has to suffer. But remember, the government is covering employers for all of that. So there’s no reason not to keep the job open for as long as possible to give our teams the best chance of keeping their jobs when it all ends.
So look forward to speaking to you soon. Don’t forget there’s a business training I’m doing for free. Starting on the 30th you can join either on the 30th or after that. And catch up. This is, and wishing you well until we get a chance to speak. Be strong, be safe, be healthy, take care, bye. Bye.
