HMRC using Twitter to identify tax cheats
For a while now, HMRC has had its own Twitter account. Its main purpose was to give out news.
It now appears that their tack has changed, as HMRCit are watching tweeets that have tax connotations, both avoidance and evasion.
With social media becoming such a common mode of communication, it is easy to forget that these are public media channels, and anyone can read what you have been writing.
