It’s mother’s day coming up and I thought I’d do something special for you.
Hi, my name is Gordon D’Silva and if you’re not a client, then you probably don’t know me if you are a client than hi there. And what I want to do for mother’s day this year is do something pretty special for you. And I want to offer a free strategy session to the first 15 people that request one.
So I’ll tell you a bit more about the strategy session in a minute, but let me explain why I’m doing this. Some years ag, my wife was diagnosed with cancer and it was probably the worst day of my life and live with me forever. I was standing in the doorway and she called me. I thought it was going to be, had some more tests and haven’t found anything, but unfortunately, that had.
And it rocked my world and I maybe fell to the floor. My legs turned to jelly was just completely horrible as you would expect. And one of the things that served us as a family, well, was that bout eight years before that, I had been on some courses and taking some coaching and some mentors on. Who helped me build my business from one that was struggling with Tom.
I mean, I was getting business in, but I was watching absolutely ragged. I wasn’t seeing the family, you know, working really hard. I was all right, there was enough money to go on holiday and stuff, but it wasn’t, it wasn’t brilliant. And I was in the lucky position had been gone through all of that.
I could just take time off and spend time with her as we process this, all the information we had good times and bad times. You know, Michigan came back and we lost her few years later, six years later. It was dreadful. And the thing I think that I could say is that if there’s anything that was.
Good is that we spent huge amounts of time to get and that in most business businesses I work with, and suddenly it wouldn’t be me. Five years before that, I would have been struggling to decide, do I go to work and who I spent time with, my family, my wife and my kids, and unfortunately I didn’t have to make, fortunately, I didn’t have to make that choice because I had built the business to one that would.
Survive. She’s . I’ve been doing it for that. It isn’t, but it happened and a thought for five years. I’d be willing to work the business for function, transcript, service beautifully. My team mazing and still are. And you know, I was able to, I learned, know productivity. I learned time management and leadership on then.
So a virtual worker, even though we didn’t have the internet. Right. And it was just an amazing, amazing feat. And it held us in good state. When the time came and my mum moved some, my mum and dad moved house closer to us at that time and they needed some money to complete on this house before they sold their house.
And fortunately I was able to come up with goals, some money because the business had one way and I had the availability availabilities. I was able to help and then I’m no longer is know. challenges in the between that the business was running? Well, we picked it up, you know, my wife goes, well, you can spend a couple of years getting, you know, it was horrible.
You know, devastating for the family and especially my young kids. And a couple of years after that we, yeah. I go back into the business and the business was to that you on the, how many businesses could get into a business. 70 is off to go messed it virtually. I’m attended and the business today with trans oiling worth because they are getting value.
They’re getting service, they’re getting the thing they want out of it. Any event, learn again, my father and foresee, a couple of years ago, they both passed away and my mother had to move into shelter. The combination because she was on her own now. You good, good, frail. I’ve lost my dad and stuff. He was in his product on eternity.
Tell him, but how was again, able to spend a huge amount of time building up, you say, my following a couple of times a week, spending time with that because the business didn’t meet. It wasn’t intense. And so I was able to do that. And then when she needed to move and having someone at the house when a new opportunity came up for shelter, housing and a really popular blog.
I was able to come up with the money to let her move in and she moved in and then you’d be getting money back when she’s sung. The profits that only became available because my business works so well. The time freedom, the money freedom that the stress and it is what it took and it all came from wanting my business.
And I work with so many businesses, they today we struggle with time. The struggle with stress. They struggle seeing their family, the struggle with the income to go on holidays or the house they want. And if something devastating happened, if someone needed help be able to help, it’s not because they don’t want to, they just wouldn’t be able to because the business is forming in a way that they wanted to, to be able to help.
And so for this mother’s day in memory of my kid’s mom and a memory of my mom, right? In respect to my mom and mother, what they’ve done for me over the years with my dad and my, and my family and stuff. I want to do something for you for mother’s day and for mother’s day, I went off of 15 strategy sessions.
These strategy sessions. I’m going to cover three, two things. Firstly, we’re going to cover the 45 minutes. Give or take a few minutes, right? I’m putting only 15 slots of cycle begins freelance. I normally charge by hundred pounds for doing a structured succession. Okay? And so these are going to cover three things.
The first thing that’s going to cover is, let me be clear on your vision, your plan and division. I’ll be tailoring your vision. Let me know, may also some questions and flesh it out of there. Cause I’ll walk down these before and I know how to get to the meeting. So we’re going to look at your look, your division.
I’ll be asking you some questions. So out of this meeting, and so it’s going to be like a friendly interrogation. You know, find out what, wait, what’s going on, why did you get into business where you’re gonna expect. The second thing, we’re going to be looking at all the challenges you face. Now, my challenge is used to be I didn’t have any time for my family.
I didn’t have time to do everything that I needed to do. This was huge. Now I have to do list is probably three different things which I choose, right? And so maybe time may be overwhelmed. It may be, I don’t know what to do next. It made me then your business isn’t making enough money. That’s very common.
Many businesses own growth. And I know that because I see their accounts, I go to networking meetings for them. That’s not the best place to mastermind, by the way, cause everyone in the network and saying help Dylan too. They do. But when I take them on as clients, I can see the truth of it is that most of them, I’m not doing better for one year to the next is more or less a photocopy of the previous year.
They’re not working out. They want to break. Every year. The new year’s wasn’t mentioned is this year this, we didn’t know what they brought me. This year we’re going to be a millionaire boy and only fools if you’re not in the UK. It’s a UK classic sitcom from a few years ago. And so maybe it made me that there was money issues and that caused a stress in the house that causes stress at work.
It could be money, it could be productivity. You don’t know. You know, you took the leadership, which would be delegation. Whatever it is. Those are the things I’ve come to run a business that’s super efficient and super fun to run. Yes, there are stresses. Every business stress. My clients sometimes drop things on the box very, very large and goes and Googles me a bit of stress.
But you know, that’s part and parcel. I didn’t consider that to be, uh, to be stressed. You know, it’s one of the things that comes with the territory and we’ll just handle it once or twice a year. It’s no big deal. So I would like to help you do that. So the second thing we’re going to do is look at the challenges and identified what talk to them.
The third thing is going to do, we’re going to get a plan and a path through to get you from way where that is to, to help you get closer to your vision or at mission in record time. Now you’ll have that part in the plan or we’ll give, I’ll give that year. And at the end of that meeting, you can choose whether you’d like some help in getting that or you’d like to do it on your own.
Actually found there’s no hard sell. I’m not interested in how it’s selling. I’ve got enough your your money to live the life I do or whatever. If you do want help, I would be privileged to help you. There will be a feeling clear whether the, whether it’s for the whole package to help you run a better business.
Well, whether it’s to be more productive or whether it’s to create more time in your mouth, it’s, or whether it’s to create a better work life balance or whether it’s to get your business growing, create that growth, give it a bit of a spurt or any combination, whether it’s it, whether it’s the amount of money you make, where the, you know, whether you’re saving enough money for happy and carefree retirement.
Oh, well do you have enough holidays? But do you have a house of your dreams yet? You have a car, you cause your thing, or do you have your cows? Whatever it is for you is what we need be spending most most time on. And then you can decide whether you want help or just take the time and . You can say it’s worth, I think it’s worth much more than 500 pounds. And I’d be challenged by 50 pounds because I think it needs to be in your hands. You need to have that light on the spending and it doesn’t have to be the way I like though it. I was stuck in, you know, I was telling my mum and years and years ago that I want to do charge 50 because I didn’t, I couldn’t imagine a retiree after that cause I was so stressed and working so hard and stuff hoping to retire early.
Because I was making, okay, I just didn’t see an engine. Now I can’t imagine retiring because I love my clients. I love what I do, and I love serving the business units and helping them help their own families and your team’s families and the wider community. It makes an impact. And so in a small way, and I’m not quite a Richard Branson, and I’m not quite bill Gates by any stretch of the magic in my small way.

I’m gonna probably leave a little bit early and go and see her and maybe have a meal, which would, I think would be nice for her and Sydney. Starts with health, then happiness and wealth. If you’re not healthy, it’s hard to do anything. If you’re healthy, then you need to be to be happy to do the stuff, to do that happy you are use it is to do and then money and impact. You come after that and a strategy session might be just might be the catalyst.
If you’re feeling stuck in your business, then it might just be the place that’s going to get your movie. You probably already made new year’s resolutions and I don’t know how they’ve used resolutions are doing. Say that by the end of February, 85% of year’s resolutions have fallen by the wayside.
So this is going to be an opportunity to give those a bit of a kick and actually get a proper plan made to achieve the, the resolutions you want it or whatever it is. But it’s business related. Through a business there. There’s no better way waiting the life you designed, your family desires, the community needs supporting than to an owner managed business.
