I think it was Henry Ford that said “if you think you can, or you think you can’t, you are right.”. In my 35 years of business I found this to be true. You can adopt tactics here and tactics there, but without the right belief in what you are doing, and how you add value to clients, your results will never be optimised.
Sometimes, however, even positive beliefs can hold you back. The positive belief in the wrong direction, without the right philosophy, knowledge and accountability, can give you false or inadequate. Having a sounding board to challenge, motivate and hold you accountable is often a low risk high reward strategy
